I keep all my burrowers in 13x30x40cm (lengthxwidthxheight) that open at the top, works perfectly! So they get 30cm to dig...They don't need that much space, all they want is a burrow and then they're happy.
It also looks nice in the shelves, kinda like thick books with just species name on them.Cheers!

Hey,1,5m????? What size is your terrarium? A room?
Greetz
PascalHaha! No, I don't see them jump 1,5m...but I do see them jump, the males more than the female, she's more chilled out
The terrarium is 80cm long, 30cm deep and 105cm high. In the terrarium are also beetles (Pachnoda marginata peregrina) and soon also walking sticks. It's nice to have lots of different species together -
Thanks Basti, they are wonderful creatures. What's most interesting is that they are grasshoppers and not walking sticks (even though they look a bit like walking sticks). They belong to the order Orthoptera and not Phasmida, and they can jump up to 1,5m (which I often see in the terrarium).
Cheers!

Thanks for that welcome Pascal!
Yes, I do travel to Gotland (island of the east-coast of sweden) every year for "medieval week" in the city of Visby (capital of the island). Everyone is dressed in medieval outifts and we all live in viking-tents and such. Great fun!
I do know Wacken, I haven't been there though.
I travel to Hamm every year, 2-3 times if it's a good yearCheers!

Hey guys!
My name is Flogger. I am 20 years old and currently live in Halmstad, Sweden. I have been into tarantulas for a few years now and the last year I have also had a large interest for "true" spiders, such as Latrodectus spp and Cupiennius spp. My absolute favourite genus is Psalmopoeus spp and I keep a lot of these at home.
I am currently looking for a job and will hopefully have one soon (need more money to get more spiders!).You will find me reading most forums and posting pictures, I love photographing animals!. I probably won't post very much since my written german is horrible, I do however understand it perfectly well and I can read it without too much trouble (I lived in berlin for a year).
So please, no need to write to me in English just cause I do, German works fine. And this is me
[Blockierte Grafik: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c166/Flogger/Medeltidsveckan08257-1.jpg]Here on our way to Hamm, we stopped in the german forests looking for animals, we didn't find anything of interest though...so I thought I'd pose with the plants
