Hallo zusammen,
Einige Mitglieder haben eine Ctenidae sp. red fang im Hobby. Endlich gibt es einen Namen für sie. Ctenidae sp. red fang heisst nun offiziell Piloctenus haematostoma.
Mein Dank gilt an dieser Stelle Gordon Ackermann . Er hat mir den Tipp gegeben an wen ich mich wenden muss, um mehr über diese Spinne zu erfahren.
Hier die Antwort (heute), die ich bekommen habe:
"Dear Eugen,
The species has been described and its name was officially published in October 2016 in prepress. The article was accepted in May 2016 in the Zoological Journal fo the innena Society (see the catalogue 'upcoming'). I expect the paper version will be published next month (April).
Henrard, A. & Jocqué, R. (2017). Morphological and molecular evidence for new genera in the Afrotropical Cteninae (Araneae, Ctenidae) complex. Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society: early view. [will be included when the version with the final pagination is issued] doi:10.1111/zoj.12461
The species is Piloctenus haematostoma Jocqué & Hernard, 2016. (inversion of authors!)
It has a large distribution in pristine forests and wil be a good indicator for virgin forest in West Africa and Gabon.
Kind regards,
Rudy (Jocqué)"
Gruss Gene
